Jordi started his career at the academy of CE Mercantil, where he first appeared in 2003. The young player quickly established himself in the starting eleven of the youth team. In a year, Masip was signed for the youth department of Barcelona. He joined the club, when he was 15. During the 4 years at the club’s academy, the keeper went through all the junior ranks in the Barcelona system.
In 2008, Jordi was considered to be ready to make his debut on senior level. He signed his first professional contract, but was immediately loaned to Vilajuïga. Masip spent the 2008/2009 season with the temporary club making 24 appearances in the fourth division. In 2009, the keeper returned to Barcelona and started to perform for the reserves. He’s already made more than 20 appearances for the B squad.
On international level, Jordi earned his single call for the Spain U-17 team in 2006.
